Immigrant — just 13 years old — stabs man with help of 3 masked accomplices because victim wouldn’t snap their photo: Report

A 13-year-old Ecuadorian immigrant stabbed a man in New York City with the help of three masked accomplices after the victim refused to take a photo. The New York Post reportedThis was quoted by police and officials.

Police and sources told the Post that around 9 p.m. Sunday, a young male teenager and his companion approached the 23-year-old victim at West 40th Street and Seventh Avenue and asked him to take a photo. He was asked to take a picture.

“We've seen boys commit five, six, seven robberies.”

When the man refused, the newspaper reported, citing authorities, the 13-year-old boy and three others ganged up on him, punching him in the face and stabbing him in the back and leg with a brass knuckle knife.

The suspects fled, but after searching the area with the victim, officers were able to capture the teen, police added.

The 13-year-old male was charged with second-degree robbery, police and sources told the paper.
