“We have to close the border from day one. Republicans across the country are campaigning on the economy, particularly inflation and cost increases, and Sheehy said the issue will be a top focus in the Senate.

“One of my top priorities is to lower prices for families and support the farmers, miners, lumberjacks, truck drivers, electricians and plumbers who put food on our tables and keep our economy moving. , to raise real wages for hard-working Americans like carpenters,” Sheehy said.

Sheehy, a military veteran, told Fox News Digital that when it comes to foreign policy, it's important for the military to focus on winning wars rather than social issues.
“As a veteran myself, married to a veteran, I want to help rebuild our military, make sure it's ready to fight and win wars, and support our social efforts for our brave men and women. “We know that we must prioritize combat lethality. We wear the uniform to keep them and our great nation safe,” Sheehy said.
Republicans will enter the next Congress with a 53-47 majority in the Senate and a majority in the House of Representatives.
President Trump reportedly called a meeting Tuesday to discuss legislative priorities with Republican senators because he needs to work closely with Congress to advance his agenda. .
“He was excited about the win,” Sen.
