Iran Attacks Israel One Day After Biden Says ‘Don’t’

Iran launched an attack on Israel on Friday, a day after President Joe Biden warned Iran not to do so.

Biden told reporters Thursday when asked what his message was to Iran after Iran threatened to attack Israel in response to Israel’s recent attack on seven Iranian troops, including two Syrian generals. “Please stop,” he said.

“We are dedicated to the defense of Israel,” he added. “We support Israel. We protect, help us protect Israel, so Iran will not succeed.”

Biden was scheduled to spend the weekend in Rehoboth Beach, but was scheduled to return earlier in the day and meet with his national security team in the Situation Room.

According to the White House press corps, there were reports that the president would address the nation from the Oval Office, but the White House closed the door at 5:13 p.m. ET.
