Iran Cautions That a 'Major Conflict' is Occurring with the U.S., Europe, and Israel

Iran’s President Declares State of War Against the West

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a stark warning on Saturday regarding the nation’s relations with the U.S., Israel, and Europe, stating that Iran is in a “state of all-out war” with these countries. His comments come just before a significant meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump scheduled for Monday.

In a recent interview on Ayatollah Khamenei’s official website, Pezeshkian compared the current situation to the destructive Iran-Iraq War of the 1980s, labeling it even more severe. He asserts that the West aims to destabilize Iran.

“We are engaged in a comprehensive conflict with the United States, Israel, and Europe. They don’t desire stability in our nation,” he expressed. His statements resonate with those of General Hossein Salami, a commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, who has warned that the West risks confrontation with a triumphant Iranian regime.

Pezeshkian further described the ongoing conflict as “more complex and difficult” than the Iran-Iraq War, which resulted in over a million casualties on both sides. These statements were made in light of Netanyahu’s upcoming visit to the U.S., where Iran is expected to be a central topic of discussion.

This announcement follows recent military actions where Israel and the U.S. targeted Iran, alongside renewed sanctions imposed by France, Germany, and Britain concerning Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

On Khamenei’s platform, Pezeshkian emphasized the resilience of Iranian forces. “Our troops are executing their missions with determination. Despite our current challenges, they are better equipped and more robust than ever,” he noted, continuing: “If they choose to strike, they will face an even stronger retaliation.”

In June, a brief air conflict led by Israel and the U.S. resulted in significant casualties, including almost 1,100 Iranians, such as military officials and nuclear experts, while Iranian missile strikes resulted in deaths within Israel.

Pezeshkian remarked, “This war is unlike anything we’ve faced before.” He elaborated that the current war surpasses the difficulties experienced during the Iran-Iraq conflict, emphasizing the complexity of the situation. He urged understanding of the seriousness of this conflict, sharing reflections on the far-reaching consequences of the ongoing hostilities.
