Iran might receive a final opportunity from Trump to agree to the nuclear agreement, according to a report.

President Trump is reportedly set to extend a “final opportunity” for Iran to agree to a nuclear deal amidst ongoing Israeli attacks on Tehran.

The latest proposal is likely to uphold the administration’s stance that Iran must not engage in uranium enrichment; however, it may be “somewhat improved” compared to an earlier offer made about a week and a half ago, as cited by U.S. and European officials.

The White House has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the potential new nuclear deal with Iran.

Previously, Trump had given Iran 60 days to negotiate an agreement with the U.S. before Israel initiated its military action.

Negotiations between Washington and Tehran kicked off in April to establish a new agreement to replace the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), from which Trump withdrew the U.S. in 2018.

Progress has stalled as Iran has insisted on its right to continue uranium enrichment as part of a new agreement.

Last week, in response to Iran’s nearing capability of developing a nuclear warhead, Israel launched Operation Raisinglion. This operation targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities and aimed at key scientists and leaders within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard.

This military action coincided with the end of the 60-day period Trump had given Iran to negotiate a deal that would restrict its nuclear program.

Iran retaliated by launching a series of ballistic missiles towards Israel, with some landing in civilian areas and causing casualties.

Israel has continued its bombings of Iranian sites as part of Operation Raisinglion.

Despite the ongoing tensions, Iran has refused to acquiesce to the demands put forth by the Trump administration regarding uranium enrichment.

“They must reach an agreement. It’s tough for both sides, but it doesn’t seem like Iran is winning this conflict. They really should consider talking quickly before a worse situation unfolds,” some observers have noted.

The Trump administration maintains that Israel did not incite the attacks on Iran, yet in a surprising social media post on Monday evening, the president called for the evacuation of Iran’s capital.

“Iran should have accepted the ‘deal’ I proposed. What a loss and a tragedy,” Trump stated. “Simply put, Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons. I’ve emphasized this repeatedly!”

“Tehran needs to be evacuated soon!”
