Reza Pahlavi Comments on Protests in Iran

Reza Pahlavi, the exiled crown prince of Iran, believes that the recent widespread protests in the country are significantly influenced by President Trump’s support. He argues that the possibility of regime change is closer than ever.

In an exclusive chat, Pahlavi expressed his perspective, stating, “President Trump’s encouragement for the Iranian people has been crucial.” He noted that many Iranians, who are risking their lives for freedom, draw inspiration from it. “This moment wouldn’t exist without the pressure on the regime,” he added.

As protests erupt in various cities, Pahlavi emphasized the stark contrast between the ruling clerics and the Iranian populace. “While the Ayatollahs shout ‘death to America,’ the people want a free nation that lives peacefully with the world, including the U.S. and Israel,” he remarked.

Pahlavi, whose father was the last shah of Iran before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, criticized the regime for brutal crackdowns on civilians, estimating “hundreds, maybe thousands” have been killed recently. He supports U.S. actions that aim to protect civilians and dismantle the regime’s oppressive structures but is clear—“there’s no need for foreign troops on the ground.”

While he acknowledged that the protests are largely driven by economic struggles, he believes they stem from a self-created crisis. “Our people’s suffering is not random. It’s due to a system that prioritizes oppression and war over the welfare of Iranian families,” he stated. “In a nation with such resources, it’s unacceptable for anyone to struggle to afford basics like bread or medicine.”

Looking ahead, Pahlavi envisions a thriving Tehran and a prosperous Iran if the current regime collapses. He believes that Iran could rejoin global markets, drawing in foreign investment and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens. “A free Iran will be a prosperous Iran, generating jobs and allowing young people to build futures here instead of fleeing,” he explained. He has gathered a team of experts, ready to immediately implement plans for recovery and growth.

“This is how we transition from poverty to dignity,” he remarked.

Pahlavi has laid out strategies for ensuring safety within the first 180 days of transitioning from the current theocracy to democracy. His plan includes an emergency phase for maintaining essential services, followed by stabilization efforts and culminating in constitutional reforms and elections.

According to him, these nationwide protests are unprecedented. Millions have taken to the streets despite violence, arrests, and communication blackouts. “This shows that countless people are seeking change. When so many Iranians unite, it sends a powerful message to the regime and the world,” he shared.

He also raised alarms about government tactics aimed at facilitating mass killings by disrupting internet access and phone communications. “They want to push this country into darkness so they can carry out atrocities unnoticed,” he said, urging the international community to remain informed and supportive of the Iranian populace.

Pahlavi indicated that there are emerging divisions within the government, revealing that “tens of thousands” have been reached through secure lines, encouraging security personnel to join the people against oppression. “Now is the moment for those in uniform to stop supporting the regime and stand with the Iranian people,” he said.

As attention grows from around the globe, Pahlavi remarked on the challenging situation: “The world is watching Iran closely now.”
