WASHINGTON – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Breitbart News alone that he and President Donald Trump fully agree that Iran's Islamic Republic should never acquire nuclear weapons.
Speaking with Breitbart News on Thursday evening after meeting with Trump at the White House, Netanyahu said Iran was “never weak” but “it's not over,” but Iranians said they should not acquire nuclear weapons.
“I think we changed the Middle East with the bold actions that Israel took,” Netanyahu said. “We've significantly damaged Iran's terrorist axis. It's never weakened. But it's not over. The key element is to make sure Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons.”
Netanyahu also pointed out that Trump also agreed to block Iran from entering nuclear weapons, as he revealed at a joint press conference with Israeli leaders on Tuesday evening.
“President Trump said the same, but I think he hit the main point,” Netanyahu said. “They don't go into how it will be achieved, but setting clearly the goals they need to achieve will complete historical changes in the Middle East, and both Arabs and Jews. I think it's a prerequisite for creating a new future for. It actually prevents what's dangerous to the world, is dangerous to Israel, and dangerous to the United States. You don't want an Ayatollah regime with nuclear weapons. It is a clear and current danger to world peace.”
Netanyahu added that there is “undetectable” interest throughout the Middle East in expanding the Abraham agreement and reaching more deals of peace with Israel and economic normalization. However, he said in order to get there, he must make it clear that Iran will never get nuclear weapons and that Hamas has been completely destroyed.
“But I think there are two important initiatives that I have to meet,” Netanyahu said. “One thing is to make sure Iran has no nuclear weapons, and the second thing is to remove Hamas. These are two things we think we can move on to other peace deals. For now, it really doesn't matter what people say publicly. It really doesn't matter. What matters is where electricity changes. Power is decisively and irreversibly shifting towards the US axis. This will make many peace agreements possible not only for many Arab countries, but also for Muslim countries.”
Details are scheduled for an exclusive interview with Netanyahu's Breitbart News.
