Iranian Crown Prince Appeals for U.S. Support Amid Protests
Exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi reached out to President Trump on Sunday, seeking assistance in the ongoing protests that have shaken the Islamic Republic. The demonstrations are reportedly escalating.
Pahlavi remarked, “You’ve shown you’re a man of peace who stands against evil.” He mentioned on “Sunday Morning Futures” that the Iranian people are even naming streets after Trump, highlighting what he perceives as a stark contrast to previous administrations. They believe he’s not like Obama or Biden—who, in their view, would abandon them.
On Saturday, President Trump voiced his support on Truth Social, declaring that “Iran wants freedom more than perhaps ever before. America stands ready to help!!!”
During a press conference on Friday, Trump promised a strong U.S. response if the Iranian regime escalates violence against the protesters. “You strike hard where it counts. It doesn’t mean boots on the ground, but it does mean a significant response,” he stated.
Protests have been erupting in various Iranian cities as security forces push back against the demonstrations, with calls for an end to the theocracy gaining momentum.
Pahlavi described the current moment as a potential turning point that could lead to Iran’s liberation. He urged collaboration to create a brighter future for the nation, expressing readiness to return to Iran at the earliest chance, already preparing plans for a transition team. He shared a hopeful sentiment, stating that he believes Iranians are ready to fight for this cause, as he is.
As tensions rise in the Middle East, U.S. allies are closely monitoring the American response while Iran faces escalating internal challenges.
