President Trump Indicates Iran Seeks Deal Amid US Military Presence
Discussions on President Donald Trump’s rising military pressure on Iran were highlighted by Steve Yates, a former national security adviser to Vice President Cheney, during an appearance on “Fox & Friends Weekend.” The focus was on the aim to negotiate a nuclear weapons agreement.
On Saturday, Iran’s president accused Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and some European leaders of attempting to destabilize Iran and incite division within the country. Massoud Pezeshkian claimed on state television that these leaders have sought to exploit Iran’s issues, provoking unrest and societal fragmentation. “They aimed to bring people into the streets to create havoc and discord among the populace,” he stated, referring to ongoing protests and a severe government crackdown. “This is clearly more than just social discontent,” he added.
The White House has yet to respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital on this matter.
Saudi Arabia Restricts US Military Actions
According to a US-based Human Rights Defenders News Agency report, violence in Iran has led to at least 6,479 fatalities in recent weeks, with concerns that this number could rise. This figure reportedly includes over 6,000 protesters and numerous civilians. The Iranian government, however, reports a much lower count of around 3,117 casualties.
Pezeshkian’s remarks came as diplomatic pressure intensified on Iran to finalize a nuclear deal, following Trump’s assertion that the US has conveyed its expectations directly to Iran.

When questioned about whether Iran faced a deadline to agree to the nuclear deal, Trump suggested that such a timeline had been communicated privately, but he noted that the details would only be known to Iranian leaders.
In light of potential military action against Iran, senior officials from the Gulf region have indicated to Fox News that Saudi Arabia would deny the US access to its bases or airspace for any attacks.
