Israel Issues Stern Warnings to Iran Amid Protests
Israel is keeping a close eye on Iran and has issued direct warnings to its regime, especially as international scrutiny grows due to mounting protests within the country.
“We are highly prepared,” stated Danny Danon, the Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, during a recent press briefing. “We have our defensive and offensive capabilities ready. It would be wise for Iran not to test us.” He went on to mention that Israel is aware of the locations of the ballistic missiles Iran employed against Jerusalem during the 12-day conflict in June 2025.
In that month, Israel initiated Operation Rising Lion with the objective of dismantling Iran’s nuclear capabilities. The United States later joined in, launching Operation Midnight Hammer, which successfully destroyed critical nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
Danon implied that Israel’s recent military demonstration was merely a “partial” showcase of its capabilities, though he didn’t elaborate further. He emphasized that the decisions regarding further military actions ultimately rest with the United States, a notion he respected. “We will not dictate to America what to do or when,” he clarified.
Additionally, Danon indicated that should Iran launch an attack against Israel, there would likely be retaliation from the United States or other allies. In a show of defiance, Iran recently cautioned President Trump against taking any aggressive actions toward Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Iranian military spokesperson General Abolfazl Shekarchi asserted, “If our leaders face aggression, we won’t just defend ourselves; we’ll retaliate forcefully.”
On another front, both Israeli and American leaders have voiced their support for the citizens protesting in Iran, with President Trump stating that he might consider action if the Iranian government responds with violence. Although U.S. intervention has yet to materialize, Trump acknowledged that the executions initially planned by Iran were canceled, which he viewed as a step in the right direction.
Israel has expressed solidarity with the Iranian populace. Prime Minister Netanyahu recently remarked that Iran is “closely watching” the unfolding events and affirmed Israel’s commitment to ensuring a future of peace once the oppressive regime is gone. “Israel is paying attention. The courage displayed by the Iranian people is inspiring,” he said during a cabinet meeting.
In a different tone, Iranian officials have accused the U.S. and Israel of instigating the protests. They claimed that foreign involvement is causing political instability. An Iranian ambassador recently suggested both nations are to blame for the violence occurring in Iran.
According to reports from the Human Rights Activist News Agency, the confirmed death toll from the protests has reached over 4,000, with thousands more injured or arrested since the unrest began. As tensions flare, the situation remains volatile, and Israeli and Iranian officials continue to exchange increasingly pointed rhetoric.
