Israel plotting attack on Iranian nuclear sites now that Trump is in office: report

Israel is considering a substantial strike against Iran's nuclear facility, with President Trump taking office and Joe Biden coming out, according to a report cited the US intelligence agency.

This year's strike could arise as Israeli leaders feel that Trump is far more likely to support an attack on Iran than Biden. Reported by the Wall Street Journal Wednesday.

Intelligence came from an assessment compiled by the Biden administration on the last day of its existence.

The report explained that military risk balances have changed in the Middle East after Iran's defenses weakened after a year of war and proxy war in the region.

Israel has been talking for months about the need to attack Iran's nuclear lands, but Biden has decisively ruled out options while he was in office.

Such an attack probably requires American munitions to be viable, and it is much more likely that they will win that support now that Trump is in office with Israeli leaders. I believe it, the report concluded.

Trump's early follow-up reports reiterated that there was a plan for Israel to take a strike, a source familiar with it told the journal.

The Trump administration entertained a joint bombing operation with Israel against Iran's nuclear sites during the presidential transition, but for now, Trump has primarily chosen to pursue diplomacy, heading towards Tehran. He's frankly speaking about playing rhetoric.

“The United States, which works in partnership with Israel, reports that it is trying to blow Iran to the blacksmith,” Trump wrote last week on his social media platform Truth Social.

In addition to feeling they will place Trump in their corner, the Jewish state also reportedly believes the window of opportunity to hit Iran is closed.

Israel has become increasingly keen to remove Iran's nuclear capabilities. Israel Katz was called “the threat of disappearance hanging in Israel.”

“Iran today is more exposed than ever to damage nuclear facilities,” Katz said in November.

After Iran launched a missile strike in Israel in October, the retaliatory strike destroyed all of its missile defense systems.

Iran has spent more than a year since Hamas' October 7, 2023, and the attacks on Israel have supported terrorist groups and other people in the region in the war with the Jewish state.

It says Iran has no viable nuclear weapons, but it says it doesn't pursue them, but the country has a large inventory of the materials needed to produce them, and the course It is thought to be closer than ever to trying to reverse and create a devastating bomb.

Israeli officials have previously said attacks on Iran's nuclear sites would be “very difficult,” noting that many of the facilities are buried in strengthened underground bases.
