Israeli forces shoot at individuals crossing the Gaza ceasefire border.

The Israeli military announced that its troops in northern Gaza had no choice but to “open fire” on several individuals who crossed the established cease-fire border on Monday.

“Earlier today, we saw a few suspects moving across the yellow line towards IDF forces in northern Gaza, which clearly breaks the agreement,” stated the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). “Even after we tried to create distance, they ignored our warnings, leading us to take action.”

Furthermore, the IDF dismissed claims that militants had breached their positions, calling such reports false.

The military urged Gaza residents to adhere to instructions and maintain distance from IDF units.

In another development, violence has escalated between Hamas and other militants in Gaza, tragically resulting in many fatalities.

Regarding the number of individuals shot, details remain unclear. Health officials in Gaza reported that Israeli forces were responsible for six Palestinian deaths in two separate incidents on Tuesday.

Gen. Amir Abibi, head of the Israel Defense and Security Forum, shared insights with Fox News Digital, noting that Israeli forces had managed to gain control over nearly 80% of the Gaza Strip before retreating to the designated “Yellow Line” on Friday. He suggested this withdrawal compelled Hamas to agree to a cease-fire.

“By taking this step back, Israel now can oversee 53% of the Gaza Strip, covering crucial areas like the Philadelphia Corridor, most of Rafah, and parts of northern Gaza,” Avibi explained. “Having higher ground means that the IDF can more effectively protect Israeli towns.”

According to him, Hamas’ smuggling operations for weapons through Egypt have markedly decreased.

President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan includes two further withdrawal phases that will eventually place the IDF in control of the security buffer zone.

Monday’s incidents followed the release of the last 20 hostages held by Hamas.
