Israeli Forces Recover Body of Thai National
Israeli military officials have announced the recovery of the remains of a Thai citizen, Nattapon Pinta, who was allegedly killed by the terrorist group Kataeb al-Mujahideen. His body was retrieved from the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip during a joint operation conducted by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and security agencies.
The operation took place on Friday, and the Thail Embassy in Israel has informed Nattapon’s family about the recovery. Brig. Gen. (Res.) Gal Hirsch, who oversees issues related to prisoners and missing persons, made this announcement.
According to Israel’s Defense Minister, Nattapon had come to Israel to work in agriculture. In a heartfelt statement, Katz expressed his deep condolences to Nattapon’s family, highlighting the commitment to bring back both living and deceased individuals to Israel.
The Hostage and Missing Family Forum remarked that recovering Nattapon’s body fulfills a moral obligation, providing closure for his family after enduring 20 months of uncertainty. They stated that the pain of this ordeal was immeasurable, but now the family has a chance to begin their healing process.
Currently, there are 55 hostages still in Gaza. Reports indicate that 33 have been confirmed dead, while at least 20 are believed to be alive. Concerns remain about the status of two individuals.
