Italian village offers $1 homes to Americans looking to flee after Trump’s victory

An Italian village is offering vacation homes for $1 to distressed Americans seeking to flee the country after Donald Trump's decisive victory in the 2024 presidential election.

The village of Olorai in central Sardinia is offering properties for as little as $1.06 in a bid to lure Americans who prefer the expat lifestyle following the November 5 election results. According to the new statement Born in the Commune di Orolai.

“Are you tired?” [sic] Will it be eliminated by world politics? ” A new ad appeared on the town’s website.

“Are you looking to embrace a more balanced lifestyle while securing new opportunities? It's time to start building your European escape in the stunning paradise of Sardinia.”

This promotion boasts a beautiful climate, great food, and ancient traditions that offer a healthier, more fulfilling life.

The mayor of Olorai Town says Americans are their target buyers.

Mayor Francesco Colombe: “We really want Americans above all else, and that's what we're going to focus on.'' told CNN.

“Of course, we can't prohibit people from other countries from applying, but Americans will have a fast-track process. We're betting on them to help us rebuild our villages. They'll help us win.” It's a card.

CNN reported that Olorai had recently received more than 38,000 requests for housing information, most of them from the United States.

According to the paper, the mayor has assembled a dedicated team to guide international buyers through every step of the purchase process.

The Olorai live in the center of the province of Nuoro on the island of Sardinia.

The region is known worldwide as one of the five places in the world that are considered “Blue Zones.”

“Blue Zones” are places around the world where people have a significantly higher than average life expectancy.

According to the National Institute of Health, the average life expectancy in Nuoro, Sardinia, is 79 years for men and 85 years for women.

The Mediterranean island has nearly 10 times the average number of centenarians.

Olorai points out that it was one of the first towns in Europe to offer the now famous $1 deal on villas and houses.

The proposal, created with the concept of economic revitalization, became a staple of Old World real estate.

These deals are for properties that need major renovations.

The town also offers housing that is more expensive but requires less investment to achieve livable standards. The move-in ready home is priced at $105,000.

According to the advertisement, photos of the homes and available properties will be posted on the website in the near future.

Most residences are located in the historic center of the city.

Mayor Colombe told CNN the village remains “half empty.”
