Actor and Joe Biden fundraiser Jack Black has vowed to revive Tenacious D after bandmate Kyle Gass wished for the assassination of former President Donald Trump last month.
“I love Tenacious D. I had to take a hiatus, but I love D,” Black said. Said Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday. “Everybody takes a break sometimes. They come back.”
Breitbart News reported that Black canceled Tenacious D’s tour after he asked Gus, who was born on July 14, onstage during a concert in Australia to give a birthday wish, to which the guitarist replied, “Just make sure you don’t miss Trump next time.”

Notably, Gass’s fatal birthday wish came the day after President Trump survived an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“I was shocked by what was said on the show on Sunday,” Black said in an Instagram post amid strong public backlash two days after Gass’ violent comments. “I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form.”
“After much consideration, I no longer feel it is appropriate for me to continue touring with Tenacious D and all future creative plans have been put on hold,” Black added in a statement. “I thank our fans for their support and understanding.”
During Tenacious D’s hiatus, Black has been focusing on promoting his new film. Borderlands“My boys love it and I love it, so it was a no-brainer,” he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, referring to the video game that inspired the film of the same name.
As Breitbart News reported, School of Rock Star, one of Hollywood’s most prominent Democratic fundraisers, is desperately seeking damage control to save his career after Gass made comments supporting the assassination of President Trump.
