Speaking to reporters outside a venue in Miami, Hughes emphasized the significance of meeting the president, calling it a unique chance. He stated, “Everything is very political. We are athletes. We are proud to represent the United States. If given the chance to go to the White House and meet the president, we feel proud to be Americans.
