Democratic strategist James Carville cited some surprises voters have already seen in this election and predicted some developments ahead of the November presidential election.

“This series of events has been something we could never have imagined,” Carville said. “How many times have we started our day, started our evening news thinking, 'Who could have ever imagined something like this could happen?'

Carville joined CNN's Anderson Cooper on Monday to talk about the network's upcoming film, “Carville: It's All About Winning, Stupid,” which depicts the efforts of Democratic strategists to try to get President Biden out of the presidential race.

“I have a feeling something else is going to happen. I don't know what it is, but there are 42 days to go, six weeks. It's a sprint to the finish line. I think there will be another twist,” he said.

James Carville warns Biden that “every time you listen to the left, you fail”

“I'm not competent enough to explain what it is,” the Democratic strategist added.

Even before Vice President Kamala Harris emerged as the top Democratic candidate, Carville repeatedly warned about Biden's chances of reelection and the party's standing among male voters.

Carville also said he thinks Harris will win.

“I don't like to predict elections, but I will say this is not an election that Harris is going to lose,” Carville said.

He added, “It's just a feeling.”

“The polls are showing a close race, but I don't think it's going to be a close race on Election Day,” Carville said of the polls.

Cooper also questioned Carville about a section of the film that references an interview on his show in which Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) called Carville a “bad guy.”

“He called you a scumbag and then you slammed President Biden and said it was time for him to step down. Were you ever worried about the words you were using?” Cooper asked.

Carville said that in his 32 years in public life, he has never had to apologize for something he said.

“I say controversial things and sometimes I say things on purpose to spark a conversation. But if I've offended someone, I've never had to go back and say, 'I'm sorry.' Sometimes I offend people, but sometimes I've offended people intentionally,” Carville said.
