Jamie Kennedy Critiques Anti-ICE Celebrities

Jamie Kennedy has voiced his frustration towards celebrities who criticize ICE while enjoying the protection of security at Hollywood events.

During his appearance on Jack Osbourne’s podcast, “Trying Not to Die,” the 55-year-old comedian took aim at liberal stars who claim to be living under a “fascist regime” while feeling secure in their lavish lifestyles.

He pointed out the irony of actors making bold statements about authoritarianism as they grace red carpets, insisting, “You can’t say you’re under authoritarian rule if you’re literally authoritarian.”

Kennedy expressed disbelief, suggesting it’s odd for these stars to protest against ICE, given that the agency works to enforce laws and combat crime in the country. “Perhaps,” he added, “we should just abide by the law as it stands.”

He recounted an encounter where an actor admonished him for his comments, exclaiming, “Fuck, shut up!”

His message to those celebrities who seem troubled by immigration enforcement? “Get to the front lines,” he said, rather than lamenting at opulent film festivals like Sundance.

At the recent Independent Spirit Awards, actress Natasha Rothwell from “White Lotus” made headlines when she openly criticized ICE during her speech, prompting cheers from the audience.

She said, “Hey, guys! I’m going to the teleprompter and I just want to say ‘f—k ICE,'” reflecting a growing trend among celebrities like Billie Eilish and Bad Bunny, who have also publicly condemned ICE’s actions.
