Jason Trennert, CEO of Strategas Research Partners, warned: Breitbart News Saturday Unless former President Donald Trump is re-elected, a “second wave of inflation” could occur in 2025.
Trennert said: Breitbart News Saturday Host Matthew Boyle talks about the Regularman CPI, an economic tool that provides a more accurate measure of the rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Strategas is a leading macroeconomic and advisory brokerage.
The Strategas CEO pointed out that core CPI doesn’t include key expenses like food and energy, explaining, “There’s nothing more ‘core’ than eating and keeping warm, so it’s a bit silly to leave out the two things that are most important to most people.”
He added: “We’ve included the things people have to spend money on: food, energy, housing, children’s clothing, utilities and insurance.”
“When you compare this metric to wages, you can see that the average person’s standard of living has fallen significantly since Joe Biden took office,” Trennert said.
Boyle noted that many Democrats often claim the economy is doing well under a Biden-Harris administration, even though many Americans don’t believe it is.
“‘On paper’ stock prices are pretty high and unemployment is relatively low, but when you look at the consumer sentiment numbers, nobody is feeling good,” Treynort said, adding that many feel the U.S. is rapidly approaching a recession.
He also said the Biden-Harris administration’s policies are “not pro-worker” and claimed a future Harris administration would “attack” those who create jobs in the United States.
The Strategas CEO said the Biden-Harris administration is spending “like we’re going bankrupt” at a time when the Federal Reserve is raising interest rates to fight inflation.
He warned that the US was likely to experience a “second wave of inflation” unless Trump was re-elected.
When asked if he would join the Trump administration in the future, Trenerth replied, “It would be the greatest honor for me.” Trenerth said he has a lot of respect for former President Trump, calling him “a billionaire who understands the feelings of ordinary people.”
