Wide receiver Jayden Reid of the Packers underwent successful collarbone surgery on Tuesday. He shared updates on Instagram, assuring fans that everything went well.
At 25 years old, Reid seemed a bit loopy from the anesthesia during his live update. The Packers said he’s “doing all the ramps” this season, whatever that means.
“Packers to the bowl, Blue,” he mentioned to the camera. “I’m fine, thank you for the prayers. But we’re going to turn, blue, we’re all running through, blue.” It was a bit of a confusing message, honestly.
Reid also joked about being untouchable, saying, “They can’t f-K with us, bruh,” as his family wrapped up the session.
He suffered the collarbone injury during the second quarter of “Thursday Night Football” against the Commanders, catching a pass near the end zone.
The expected recovery time for him is around six to eight weeks, which means he could be back in November.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur remarked that Reid would be missing “a lot of time,” which seems obvious. Last season, Reid had 55 catches for a career-high 857 yards and six touchdowns. This year, he has three receptions and one touchdown for 45 yards so far.
The Packers have had a pretty solid start, scoring victories over both the Lions and Commanders. Jordan Love has thrown for 480 yards and four touchdowns without an interception, which is impressive. Mika Parsons has integrated smoothly into the team after trading for him.
Next up for Green Bay are the Browns and the Cowboys, followed by a bye week in week 5.
