JBL partners with BZZR as a WWE icon supports a new sports social media platform

JBL Joins New Social Media Platform BZZR

WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield, or JBL, is stepping into the social media scene after a long career in professional wrestling. He’s excited about his new partnership with a platform called BZZR.

BZZR is a fresh addition to the social media landscape, aiming to connect sports enthusiasts while filtering out the usual online noise. They’ve already enlisted several well-known figures from the wrestling world, like MVP, Kayla Becker, and Dwayne Swayze.

Layfield shared with a digital outlet that he got interested in BZZR after discovering that his beloved Texas Rangers are working with them. “I’ve made a good friend, Kris ‘Shooter’ Dunn, who worked in WWE and is now with BZZR. BZZR seems like a fantastic platform,” he explained. He reminisced about his grandfather, who was blind but enjoyed listening to Rangers games on the radio for years. “I used to sit with him while he listened,” he added.

“My support for the Rangers stems from that connection. It’s neat that they collaborate with BZZR; it made me curious about the platform, which looks really promising,” he said.

Layfield mentioned that one specific aspect of BZZR caught his attention. The platform brands itself as “the world’s first streaming and social media site made solely for sports, without any of the usual nonsense or vulgar language.”

He commented humorously: “Isn’t that wild? You don’t expect to run into someone saying, ‘You suck,’ or ‘You look stupid,’ while engaging in something. No, I wasn’t around back in the 1930s—I have my own life.”

Moreover, he emphasized how BZZR encourages users to be accountable. “I think it’s great that you must put your name and picture out there. It filters out the anonymous trolls who often don’t have much to say that’s worth hearing,” he reflected.

Alongside his work with BZZR, Layfield has the distinction of being the 20th Triple Crown Champion in WWE history and the 10th Grand Slam Champion. He also serves as a commentator for AAA Lucha Libre Worldwide.
