Jeffrey Epstein accuser sues psychiatrist Henry Jarecki

An accuser of Jeffrey Epstein is suing a prominent 91-year-old psychiatrist, alleging that the late lawyer raped her and made her his “modern-day sex slave” for years after she sent him to the psychiatrist for treatment for depression.

According to the complaint filed Monday in Manhattan federal court, an unidentified woman identified only as Jane Doe 11 alleges that Henry Jarecki called Epstein “the best doctor in New York City” and gave her a psychiatric referral in 2011 before beginning to control and rape her.

The former model alleges that the “wealthy and well-connected” psychiatrist was Epstein’s “go-to” doctor, regularly treated the pedophile’s victims and frequently provided Epstein with confidential medical information about young women, the filing said.

However, Jarecki’s lawyers denied the allegations, calling them “completely false and without merit.”

“Dr. Jarecki has not engaged in any abusive conduct towards the plaintiffs or anyone else,” his lawyer, Sarita Kedia, said in a statement.

The lawsuit alleges that after she came to the United States in 2010 to pursue modeling work, the woman began to suffer from depression after Epstein began sexually abusing her.

She said she agreed to meet with Jarecki, who was in his late 70s at the time, at his home in Manhattan’s upscale Gramercy Park neighborhood, for an initial mental-health consultation.

“During this initial appointment, Jarecki told Jane Doe 11 he had something that would make her instantly happy. However, instead of prescribing medication, Jarecki gifted her an expensive watch,” the lawsuit states.

According to the lawsuit, she alleges that Jarecki promised to “save” her from Epstein, then escorted her to his home and later raped her in his bedroom.

In court documents, the woman claims the psychiatrist repeatedly threatened to revoke her eligibility to work in the United States and return her to Epstein, ordering her to enter into a “commercial relationship.”

According to the lawsuit, she claims that her husband forced her to move into an apartment near his home and then used it as a base to force her into sex acts.

“When Jane Doe 11 showed any signs of depression or resistance, Jarecki would remind her of the high rent he could charge her and violently threaten to punish her if she did not comply with his sexual commands,” court documents state.

The woman alleges that the psychiatrist raped her dozens of times in New York between 2011 and 2014, then trafficked her to his private island in the Caribbean.

In other parts of the lawsuit, the woman alleges that Jarecki eventually ordered her to have a threesome and forced her to have sex with another man in front of him.

“As Jarecki increased his sexual control over Jane Doe 11, and as Jane Doe began to show signs of an emotional breakdown, Jarecki continually reminded her of her vulnerable immigrant status, further tightening his control over her life,” the lawsuit states.

Jarecki is a longtime faculty member at Yale University and author of “Modern Psychiatric Treatment.”

The civil lawsuit seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages for sexual assault, emotional distress and violations of the federal Trafficking Victims Protection Act.
