Following Joe Biden’s debate gaffes, many Hollywood Democratic donors are slamming candidate Jeffrey Katzenberg, claiming he misled them by downplaying Biden’s cognitive decline.
Jeffrey Katzenberg, the former Disney and DreamWorks boss who now serves as co-chairman of Biden’s reelection campaign, is at the center of a storm of showbiz donors furious that the president’s health problems have been downplayed or covered up, one media outlet reported. report from Financial Times.
“[Katzenberg] “They would say, ‘He’s OK, I was just hanging out with him,'” an anonymous Hollywood veteran and longtime Democratic donor told the Financial Times. “He had this famous line to anybody: ‘I’d be happy to put you in a room with him and you’ll see for yourself,’ and nobody did.”
Another showbiz executive was quoted as saying: “I don’t think anyone believes the excuse that ‘it was just a bad night’. This debate was a turning point. [Katzenberg] “We get hundreds of calls saying, ‘I’ll never do this again.'”
One source claims that the day after the debate, Katzenberg “missed a meeting with the Biden campaign’s advisory committee, which coordinates celebrity endorsements.”

Campaign staff were “shocked” by Biden’s performance, an anonymous source told the Financial Times.
Hollywood and entertainment executives said they believe Biden’s performance against former President Donald Trump will lead to fewer donations to his campaign, the Financial Times reported.
Ahead of the debate, Jeffrey Katzenberg called Biden’s age his “superpower.”
According to Reuters interview Last year, he described Biden as “energetic” and “effective” and suggested Republican attacks on his age would backfire.
“President Biden’s age is actually his superpower,” Katzenberg said. “People have tried to portray it as a drawback or a negative, but I think that fails, because his age is his knowledge and his experience, and as he himself said, his wisdom.”
Katzenberg now faces a growing number of Hollywood figures defecting from the Biden campaign.
As Breitbart News reported, big Hollywood donors have begun turning their backs on Biden, telling Democrats they won’t donate to him if the 81-year-old continues in the campaign.
Among those calling for Biden to resign are Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings, lost Creator Damon Lindelof.
