Jen Belichick's lawyer attributes the arrest situation to a 'mistake'.

The arrest warrant for Jen Belichick was lifted this week, with her attorney stating that the situation stemmed from a miscommunication.

Jen faced charges in North Carolina for misdemeanor speeding dating back to May 21 and had reportedly missed a court appearance scheduled for July 10.

Alex Kintner, her attorney from the Coastal South law firm, shared on Wednesday that progress has been made toward resolving the issue fully.

“I can confirm that there is no arrest order for Mrs. Belichick, nor is there a need for her to appear in court,” Kintner stated via text. “We’ve received tickets, and I’ll handle her traffic citation at the next scheduled court date.”

“Someone dropped the ball last week, and we’ve since taken action. Go Heels.”

Court documents from Brunswick County show that Kintner filed a motion on Tuesday requesting to rescind the arrest order, citing Jen’s absence as being related to “just being detained.”

A judge approved this motion on Wednesday, canceling the failure to appear designation and the arrest warrant, setting a new hearing for September 25.

When contacted on Wednesday, Jen opted not to comment on the case.

However, shortly after the initial news broke about the arrest order, she seemed to downplay the situation by posting a “Bad Boy for Life”-themed message on Instagram.

Jen is married to Steve Belichick, the defensive coordinator for UNC, and is the daughter-in-law of Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick.
