Jenny McCarthy Discusses Health Struggles and Mold Poisoning

Jenny McCarthy opened up about her extensive health challenges, revealing that she has undergone several surgeries before concluding that mold poisoning was at the root of her issues, which has led her to live in a tent.

“The last two years of my life have been absolutely frickin’ insane,” she shared during a recent episode of “The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show.”

McCarthy, who is well-known as a judge on “The Masked Singer,” described her difficult two-year journey that involved various oral and eye surgeries.

“This entire journey started with a frickin’ toothache,” she explained to her audience. “Somehow that led me down the rabbit hole of doctors, surgeries, teeth being pulled, mysterious growths popping up in places you are not expecting, implants popping out, and eventually realizing my immune system was fighting something so much bigger.”

Her troubles began on October 7, 2024, when she experienced a persistent dull ache in her tooth. The pain escalated to such a degree that she drove to a friend’s house seeking painkillers but found no relief.

As she struggled with her oral health, she began to notice swollen bumps on her eyelid known as chalazions. Despite undergoing oral surgery and having implants installed, the pain persisted as her body rejected the implants, which were ultimately removed, leading to yet another surgery.

“At the same time, you guys, an eye thing grew back,” she remarked, detailing the ongoing challenges she faced.

She vividly described the severity of her condition, stating, “The infection grew down into my bone — into my jaw bone! Where the bone dies and becomes mush.”

She warned, “People go into sepsis for this — people can die from what I was going through; it was so badly infected.”

It wasn’t until later in her journey that she realized her symptoms were the result of mold poisoning. McCarthy recalled the moment when a medical professional explained, “Jenny, you’ve got serious mold — you’ve got the type of mold that causes seizures — if this thing crosses the blood/brain barrier I’m going to be talking to you in the hospital.”

She learned that her immune system had been heavily compromised, struggling to cope with mold while also battling other infections.

After enduring so much, she expressed that she is now dealing with “medical fatigue” and has decided against replacing her implants. “I literally have no teeth on this side of my mouth; there’s just nothing there. Honestly, I cannot take one more surgery; I’m gonna lose my mind!”

McCarthy admitted to developing a paranoia about mold and has taken drastic steps: “I live in a tent and I’m not even joking.”
