Jill Biden is “slamming” any Democrats who have called on President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, according to a new report.
Many Democrats Called President Biden is withdrawing from the race following his disastrous performance in the first presidential debate with former President Donald Trump.
Jill Biden is “slamming” Democrats who are calling for her to drop out of the presidential race, according to ABC News correspondent Martha Raddatz.
George Stephanopoulos – ABC News host and former Democratic adviser – Said President Biden is banking on a “very close relationship.”
“Administration officials I’ve spoken to say very close aides are saying Trump can win and that he should keep fighting. And, of course, that includes Trump’s wife, Jill, who they say has strongly criticized those calling for him to drop out of the race,” Raddatz said.
Raddatz Added“Nobody can stop the clock. And this is about age. That’s what it’s about. And this is what this campaign is about. Aging isn’t like a broken bone, it doesn’t get better. So every time Joe Biden goes out there, it’s an opportunity for him to let his age show. I mean, he said he’s not weaker than he was. You ask him, you say, ‘Watch me.’ Everybody’s watching. And believe me, they’re going to be watching even more closely as we go forward.”

Biden acknowledged that he performed poorly in the debate but insisted it was a “bad incident” and not a sign of serious cognitive impairment.
Asked if he had undergone a full neurological and cognitive evaluation, Biden replied, “I undergo a full neurological exam every day. I also had a full physical exam. I had a physical exam at Walter Reed Hospital. So, yeah, the answer is yes.”
Biden defended his disastrous debate defeat by saying he was feeling unwell and “exhausted.”
Biden told host George Stephanopoulos that he would only withdraw from the race if Almighty God commanded him to do so.
“Look, if the Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, get out of this race,’ I would get out of this race. The Almighty is not going to come down. I mean, George, all of these what-if stories, I mean, all of them,” Biden said.
Stephanopoulos asked Biden, “Are you able to effectively do your job for the next four years?”
Biden responded with interest: “George, I’m the guy who put NATO together. The future. Nobody thought I’d be able to expand it. I’m the guy who shut Putin down. Nobody thought that would ever happen. I’m the guy who put together the South Pacific Initiative with AUKUS. I’m the guy who mobilized 50 countries, not just European but non-European countries to help Ukraine.”
Asked about his own approval rating of 36 percent, Biden said, “Well, I don’t think that’s my approval rating. That’s not what the polls show.”

Asked how he would feel if Biden remained in the race and Trump won in November, Stephanopoulos said: Refuted“I gave it my all and I feel like I did the best job I could, and that’s what this job is about.”
