Jill Biden’s ex-husband slams first lady for apparently encouraging prez to stay in race after debate disaster

First Lady Jill Biden’s ex-husband has joined the chorus of people slamming her for urging President Biden to stay in the election after his disastrous debate performance.

“The Dr. Jill Biden that I’ve seen on television for the last five years is not the person I married or the person I know,” Bill Stevenson, who was married to Jill from 1970 to 1975, told The Post on Saturday.

“She has grown into a completely different woman.”

Stevenson, 75, of Delaware, is a proud Trump supporter who has long been vocal about his resentment toward what he calls the “Biden crime family.”

“I don’t understand why she is so insistent on defending him and keeping him in the campaign when he appears to be struggling,” Stevenson said.

“He seems to be having a hard time with everyone these days.”

“I watched Jill grow up,” he added.

“I was proud of her at certain moments. I have no grudges. But I’m surprised to see her in the middle of this fight after operating under the radar for so many years. She’s always been very driven. People are saying she’s the one who wants to be president now.”

Stevenson, who has remarried and has a family of her own, previously supported Biden when he ran for vice president with Barack Obama and when Biden ran for the U.S. Senate in 1972.

After Biden was nominated as the Democratic presidential nominee in 2020, Jill alleged that her relationship with Biden, who was then a congressman, began as an affair.

In 2005, Stevenson wrote a book about the Stone Balloon, a trendy nightspot in Newark, Delaware, where Biden, then a candidate for the Senate, stopped by one night in 1972.

He then allegedly told Biden a funny anecdote about his high school football days, after which Biden repeated the story two hours later to a security guard at the club to which he had just been introduced.

“Every time he calls President Trump a liar it makes me cringe, because I’m going to tell you right now, there’s no one who’s a bigger liar than President Biden,” Stevenson said.

“He’s just a badass human being. I’m probably one of the few people outside of his family who’s known him for 50 years.”

Stevenson plans to self-publish his second book next month, titled “The Bidens: The Early Years.” The book won’t discuss Biden today, but Stevenson said he has some thoughts on the president’s current state of mind.

“I’m not a doctor or a psychiatrist, but I definitely felt like three or four years ago he had a bit of a downturn. Now I think he’s two or three steps up. Do I feel sorry for him? No, because he’s done terrible things to me and my family.”
