Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Rudy Giuliani Being 'in the Grave' Ahead of His Hospital Stay

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, known for his left-leaning humor, has once again made headlines for an insensitive remark. He joked about Rudy Giuliani “rising from the grave” just days before Giuliani was hospitalized in critical condition.

On Tuesday’s episode of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel remarked, “Last night, Mayor Rudy Giuliani of the United States rose from the grave and gave his opinion on the ongoing drama surrounding me.” This comment was a nod to a previous episode where he had made light of President Trump’s potential death, just before the third documented assassination attempt on the president’s life.

The host followed up by showing a clip of Giuliani calling him “probably one of the most unpleasant people in this country” and labeled him an “incompetent idiot.”

Giuliani, who has also acted as Trump’s lawyer, was responding to Kimmel’s earlier characterization of Melania Trump as a “pregnant widow.” This came shortly after an individual named Cole Thomas Allen attempted to breach security at the Washington Hilton hotel while armed, leading to serious federal charges.

Allen, a contributor to anti-Trump rallies, was accused of trying to assassinate the president.

As for Kimmel’s comments about Giuliani, they surfaced just five days prior to Giuliani’s hospitalization in critical but stable condition.

In a statement, Ted Goodman, Giuliani’s spokesman, expressed, “Mayor Giuliani is a warrior who has faced every challenge in life with unwavering strength, and he is fighting with the same level of strength we are talking about.” The statement concluded with a call for prayers for Giuliani.

Supporters of Melania Trump have reportedly begun a boycott of advertisers on Jimmy Kimmel Live! following Kimmel’s comments, while rumors suggest that Disney may consider withdrawing from the project altogether.

Kimmel’s show had a brief suspension last year after he joked about the assassination of conservative figure Charlie Kirk.

It’s worth noting that hosts on the left often seem to derive some sort of satisfaction from making jokes about the deaths of political figures across the aisle, particularly those who have faced assassination attempts.

The incident involving Allen marks the third officially recorded assassination attempt on President Trump in under two years.

Interestingly, Kimmel isn’t alone in taking a lighthearted approach to serious matters involving political opponents. Alana Hadid, sister of models Bella and Gigi Hadid, was spotted dancing in front of a news headline stating, “Rudy Giuliani in critical condition in hospital.”
