Job Creators Network Calls Out Democratic Spin on Energy, Food, and Rent Inflation Ahead of Debate

The Job Creators Network, America's largest small business advocacy group, has installed a rotating billboard in Times Square to highlight the harsh economic realities facing millions of Americans under the administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. The giant ad aims to “dismantle the Democratic campaign's pitch by showing that consumer prices continue to rise even as inflation falls,” and appeared ahead of Tuesday's primetime debate between Harris and former President Donald Trump.

The billboards show how the prices of electricity, ground beef and rent have skyrocketed since Biden and Harris took office in January 2021. “Actual prices and the inflation rate are plotted on the same graph, and the ad calls the difference 'Kamala's Tragic Gap,'” the Job Creators Network said.

In fact, the Biden-Harris inflation spending policy would raise electricity prices 30 percent According to the seasonally unadjusted Consumer Price Index (CPI), January 2021 to July 2024.

“Democrats are trying to trick Americans into believing consumer prices are falling by pointing to moderating inflation, but anyone who goes to a grocery store knows from experience that this is not the case,” Job Creators Network CEO Alfredo Ortiz said in a statement.

“A rotating billboard in Times Square features the actual economic data behind the sentiment, visualizing how the prices of everything from electricity to food have risen dramatically under the current Biden-Harris administration.”

Working Americans are feeling the squeeze from the Biden-Harris administration's rising food prices, with the cost of staple foods like beef soaring.

Last week, the Job Creators Network denounced the Biden-Harris pitch that rising grocery prices hitting Americans are the result of “price gouging” by supermarkets and food manufacturers.

“When a company decides how much a jar of peanut butter costs, they must take into account the costs of the peanuts, oil, salt, packaging, transportation, and the wages they pay the workers who make the peanut butter,” a video from the Job Creators Network says.

“All of this is reflected in the final price we see on the shelves. Government data shows that these input costs have risen at the same rate as consumer costs under the Biden-Harris Administration. Food manufacturers and grocers are simply passing on the increased costs to consumers in order to maintain their profits.”

Perhaps the most devastating blow to working Americans since Biden and Harris took office has been the sharp rise in rent costs.

Last month, Breitbart News reported on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Showing Under Biden and Harris, the average rent for a home in a U.S. city has increased by 22 percent.

In a campaign speech in July, Harris promised to fix the problems caused by her and Biden's economic policies, saying that if elected, “from day one, I'll take on corporate landlords and put a cap on unfair rent increases.”

“It's going to be hard for Kamala Harris to explain how she gets through this,” Ortiz said.
