The decline of President Joe Biden is “not something I want to see,” said Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), who introduced a resolution calling on Vice President Kamala Harris to invoke the 25th Amendment to the Constitution. Breitbart News Daily.
“I want to start with the premise that no one would be very happy to see the president of the United States, the most important office in the world and the leader of the free world, in that condition,” Roy said when asked about the discussion surrounding Biden’s mental and physical state, particularly in Washington DC after the first 2024 presidential debate with former President Donald Trump.

“It’s just not something I want to see,” he said, despite his sharp disagreements with Biden.
“I have very strong disagreements with the current president, figuratively speaking, strong political disagreements,” he said. “But the fact that you see him sauntering around at the G7 summit, pacing across the stage at Normandy in such an emaciated state that he can’t even string two sentences together, is a criticism that Biden made clear in an appearance with MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough that he’s not going anywhere.”

“And then in that pathetic meeting with Joe Scarborough — the press conference, or even the interview — he couldn’t put together a single sentence to defend his abilities. I mean, that’s the thing, he has the nuclear codes,” Roy said.
“That is why I have introduced a resolution calling on the Vice President to invoke the 25th Amendment,” he said, announcing the action on June 28. Said In a statement:
I have introduced a resolution calling on the Vice President to immediately exercise his authority under Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution and to convene and declare that the President of the United States is unable to properly discharge the duties and powers of his Cabinet.
