President Joe Biden’s awkward behavior on Thursday during a ceremony to mark the Normandy landings in Normandy, France, included trying to sit in a non-existent chair and then quickly walking away, sparking speculation about why.
“Awkward,” the Republican National Committee account posted on X, attaching a video of Biden leaning over and reaching behind him as if trying to sit down.

Another clip shows Jill Biden ushering the president off the stage as a band plays, while French President Emmanuel Macron stays onstage to shake hands with a World War II veteran.

According to a representative interviewer, Biden may have had a “slight stumble” as he departed Marine One later that day.
“The president appeared to stumble slightly at the top (seen on video) – and checked the railing,” the pool report said.
Biden’s strange behavior: The Wall Street Journal The report said the president appeared to make a “slip of the tongue” during a private meeting with government officials and lawmakers.
According to the report, based on interviews: 45+ people At such meetings between Republican and Democratic lawmakers over the course of months, Biden muttered and spoke so quietly that people had trouble hearing him, closed his eyes for long periods of time so people suspected he was “listening” and had to read notes to explain “obvious points.”
“The people who keep talking about how energetic he is behind closed doors need to take him out from behind closed doors, because I don’t see it,” Sen. James Risch (R-Idaho) told the paper.
