Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) defended President Joe Biden amid growing concerns that he will remain the Democratic presidential nominee following his debate performance.
in post “Democrats, be brave and courageous,” Fetterman wrote in an interview with X, quoting Biden in a CNN interview and saying Biden was on their “side.”
“As I told @jimsciutto on @CNN, Democrats need to either be courageous or stretch their courage,” Fetterman wrote. “Joe Biden is on our side.”
As I said earlier From CNN and Gym ShootDemocrats need to either summon up their courage or develop their courage.
Joe Biden is our guy.

During the period interview Speaking with CNN host Jim Sciuto, Fetterman praised Biden as a “great president,” adding that he refused to let “a grueling 90 minutes of debate” judge his presidential qualifications.
“He’s a great president and has had a 50-year career. He’s not going to throw that away because of one grueling 90 minutes of debate,” Fetterman said.
Fetterman added that he “wouldn’t be here right now if I didn’t absolutely believe” Biden was the best candidate and that Biden “deserves” the Democratic Party’s support.
“Democrats, I beg you, be courageous, be courageous,” Fetterman added.
Fetterman’s interview on CNN came after ABC News aired an interview with Biden and moderator George Stephanopoulos, in which Biden was asked about his performance in the debate and attempted to address concerns that he might not be able to serve another term as president.
In the aftermath of last Thursday’s presidential debate between Biden and former President Donald Trump, Biden’s poor performance in the debate caused many Democrats, donors and voters to panic and float the idea of replacing Biden.
Fetterman is among those who continue to support Biden, despite several donors and Democrats suggesting he should drop out of the presidential race.
