Joe Giudice Appeals to Trump for Pardon
Joe Giudice has reached out to President Donald Trump, asking for a presidential pardon over six years after his deportation from the U.S.
The former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, now 53, turned to social media on Thursday to make a heartfelt appeal to the president while he’s overseas, following fraud allegations that led to his indictment in 2013.
In his Instagram post, Giudice stated, “I’m Joe Giudice. I’ve been serving my time and have been deported from the United States for nearly a decade.”
Continuing, he expressed, “I grew up in Jersey. I am the father of four wonderful daughters and I just want to be allowed to visit them again.”
The post included a collection of photos showcasing Giudice with his daughters—Gia, Gabriella, Audriana, and Milania.
He wrapped up his message with, “President Trump, I respect you and I want a second chance,” tagging Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr. His family responded quickly in the comments, with Teresa writing, “🙏❤️,” and Milania simply stating, “I love you dad.”
Joe and Teresa Giudice faced federal fraud charges in 2013, resulting in both serving time in prison. Joe spent 41 months after pleading guilty to various fraud-related charges before his release in March 2019, at which point he was deported to Italy. He currently resides in the Bahamas. Teresa, on the other hand, served 11 months in 2015. The couple, both 53, divorced in 2020 shortly after Joe’s deportation.
Earlier this year, Joe discussed the significance of a potential pardon, especially after Trump’s re-election. “I was working on something with my lawyer,” he mentioned, while noting that he had yet to make any significant progress. He recalled a moment when he was denied entry at the embassy and speculated it was due to his past convictions. Reflecting on his time meeting Trump, Joe noted the kindness he experienced, adding, “I think he should help me out.”
