Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s Friendship Could be Tested in Court
There are reports suggesting that Taylor Swift’s friendship with Blake Lively may face a significant challenge, potentially ending in court. Sources indicate that if Justin Baldoni’s case against Lively goes to trial, Swift might be called as a hostile witness. Previously, the singer had managed to avoid a deposition, but insiders now claim that her testimonies will be crucial if the legal proceedings move forward.
Interestingly, a source close to Baldoni’s legal team insists that bringing Swift into the courtroom may not even be necessary, arguing it would be difficult to have Baldoni testify, as recent documents could suffice by themselves.
Reportedly, Baldoni’s attorney, Brian Friedman, plans to put Swift in a difficult position with leading questions regarding the dispute involving Lively and Baldoni. Swift’s team has previously denied her involvement in the tense situation; they claimed they were caught off guard at Lively’s New York penthouse when a heated argument broke out.
However, new records from that incident have come to light, suggesting Swift might be more entangled in the situation than earlier stated. Allegedly, Swift sent a text to Lively asserting that Baldoni’s stance in the dispute could be strategically misleading.
According to Lively, she had reached out to Swift asking her to read the script on their way to her apartment. Swift’s response reportedly indicated her strong support for Lively, saying, “I’d do anything for you!”
In a prior text, around the time of a significant New York Times interview, Swift mentioned to Lively that it seemed like something was looming, nudging her to pull out a “little violin.” Baldoni is currently suing Lively for extortion and defamation, claiming she undermined his control over the film “It Ends With Us” and damaged his reputation.
The trial is set for May, raising questions about how this legal battle might impact long-standing friendships.
