Juveniles physically attack 56-year-old man on bicycle; weeks later he dies after health deterioration

Last month, a 56-year-old man was attacked by a group of teenagers while riding his bike in Kent, Washington. KIRO-TV reported:However, after being admitted to hospital, the victim's health condition deteriorated and he died on Sunday, it said.

No one has been taken into custody yet, according to KIRO.

A witness tried to intervene by honking the horn, but the suspects continued to beat the man unconscious, according to the sheriff's office.

According to the police department, officers responded to the scene just after 9 p.m. on August 22 after receiving multiple reports of an assault by a group of minors.

Witnesses said three or four boys attacked the victim, who was riding a bicycle.

The sheriff's office said the suspects had already fled the scene by the time officers arrived.

The victim was treated by the Puget Sound Fire Department and taken to a hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

However, KIRO said the victim's health deteriorated following the assault and he died on Sunday.
