Kamala Harris Reacts to Trump’s State of the Union Address

Former Vice President Kamala Harris had some sharp words for President Donald Trump’s recent State of the Union address, dismissing it as “the same old as ever” and accusing him of “lying.” She expressed her opinion, stating, “It was full of lies. When he wasn’t lying, it reminded me of what our kids talk about in school.”

Harris elaborated, saying, “Nothing has ever been true about the American people today. Many are struggling with high prices, rising medical bills, and unaffordable housing. I mean, we’re just expected to deal with it. Some… people felt it was just the same routine, lying about what they’re doing and how the economy is faring—really, it was pretty boring.”

When asked by host Aaron Parnas if she considered the address “powerful,” Harris flatly remarked, “Absolutely not.” She added that while Trump’s style had some entertainment value, it lacked any real utility for the American public.

In the podcast’s closing moments, she was questioned about any “regrets” surrounding her 2024 campaign, particularly in light of Trump’s address. Harris admitted, “I have a lot of regrets. I wrote a book about it, right? So yeah, everyone should go read it. But honestly, there were so many factors in that election, and for me, I think my focus needs to shift to what we have to do now and the vision for our country’s future. That’s where my head is.”

The White House quickly responded to Harris’ remarks. Press Secretary Davis Engle stated, “If Americans cared about what Kamala Harris thinks, she wouldn’t be sitting on her couch watching the State of the Union.”

As for the future, while Harris hasn’t formally declared her intention to run for president again in 2028, she has hinted at it, suggesting in recent comments that she “might” consider it.
