Former Vice President Kamala Harris made a “word salad” comment about the nature of “community” when speaking to firefighters in California, sparking some ridicule online.
After her term as vice president ended on Monday, Harris visited the Los Angeles Fire Department in Altadena and spoke to the media.
“As I say to these brave and extraordinary firefighters, in moments of crisis, the heroes emerge within us,” she said. “We went to the World Central Kitchen, and I mean, the volunteers there, some of them homeless, are there working to care for strangers. In the presence of the stranger, they think, “My neighbor. ”
She continued, “These are people who understand the strength and value of community. Community is about coming together as a community of people with a common sense of purpose and identity.” Ta.

During her time as vice president, Harris had a penchant for repetitive statements and “word salad,” such as declaring, “I grew up understanding that the children of the community were the children of the community.” Because of this, he was ridiculed many times. In similar remarks at another event, he said, “Community banks are in the community.”

“Mr. Kamala is reminding America why he's unemployed now,” former U.S. Senate candidate and conservative commentator Paul A. Cipla tweeted.
“She may be gone from Washington, D.C., but remember, somewhere in the world, someone is being exposed to Kamala's 'deep thinking' word salad,” the radio host said. Jay Weber joked.
