Presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ first unscripted comments since clinching the top spot in the Democratic nomination were met with disappointment from many.
Harris praised President Joe Biden after he agreed to a prisoner swap deal with Russia.
“We got our guys back, but we made a really bad deal.”
“This is a great testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and the strength that comes from understanding the importance of diplomacy,” Harris said Thursday night, with Biden at her side.
Harris has faced ridicule in the past for using simplistic phrases and hackneyed aphorisms, but her comments did not escape online ridicule, with critics pointing out that she has avoided interviews and questions from the media.
