FBI Captures All Ten Members of Most Wanted List During Trump’s Presidency

The FBI successfully apprehended all ten individuals from its Most Wanted list during the second term of President Donald Trump, as FBI Director Kash Patel disclosed in his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.

During his opening remarks, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, praised the FBI’s efforts in capturing nine out of ten of these fugitives. However, Patel interjected, stating that the agency had actually apprehended all ten, with the last capture occurring just this past weekend.

“Mr. Chairman,” Patel said, “I’m proud to announce today, and I actually hate to correct you, but we’ve captured ten of the top ten most wanted individuals on our list.” He elaborated that this was a historic achievement for the FBI.

Patel revealed, “Just this past weekend, we captured a thug down in Venezuela who was on our most wanted list and on the run for years. He has been apprehended and is on his way back to the United States. That’s ten of ten. Nobody in the FBI’s history has done that,” he added.

Further into the hearing, Patel emphasized that this achievement was considerably better than what had been accomplished under the previous administration, noting that they had captured more than two and a half times the number of top fugitives.

While the specific name of the last fugitive was not disclosed during the hearing, earlier reports confirmed that the tenth capture was Anibal Alexander Canelon Aguirre, recognized as the FBI’s first “cyber fugitive.” Aguirre was involved in a major international conspiracy linked to the Tren de Aragua, stealing millions through sophisticated ATM schemes.

Beyond the ten most wanted criminals, Patel shared that the FBI had also secured six captures from its new list of the top ten most wanted fraudsters during this administration.

He highlighted the broader achievements under Trump’s administration in enhancing safety across the nation, mentioning a notable decrease in homicide rates. “We’ve captured six of the most wanted fraudsters around the world, and taking the murder rate down by 20 points is no easy feat. This required collaboration across federal, state, and local partners,” he stated.

Patel also noted specific successes in cities like Baltimore, which saw its lowest mid-year homicide numbers on record. He further added that there had been a 50% reduction in homicide rates in Memphis, previously known for having one of the highest rates per capita.

In Washington, D.C., he claimed that they were on track to achieve the lowest homicide figures since 1990, indicating significant progress in urban crime reduction.

The FBI has been approached for additional comments regarding these developments.
