Kathy Griffin Reflects on Finding Love After Divorce
Kathy Griffin recently discussed her journey to find love again after her divorce. The 65-year-old comedian shared insights into her experiences with dating in an article. She mentioned that after a recommendation from a friend, Thea, she decided to try a dating app. Griffin recounted going on three dates, describing the people as “very nice,” though she didn’t feel a connection with any of them. Still, she felt it was a worthwhile experience.
Unexpectedly, Griffin found herself smitten with a younger man, specifically a 23-year-old. She noted that his age meant he lacked the sexism and prejudices often found in men her own age. “He seemed to understand me,” she admitted, acknowledging that it felt a bit corny to say, but she truly felt at ease and happy when she was with him.
Despite being aware from the start that their age difference made their relationship unlikely to last, Griffin expressed a sense of joy in being able to experience love again in her 60s. “It was nice to capture that for a little while,” she said, even though they discussed his reluctance to have kids. “I mean, when I was 23, I thought I knew so much, but I really didn’t,” she reflected, before realizing that she had to let him go.
Griffin explained that this young man brought light into her life at a time when she was feeling quite disillusioned with men in general. “He touched my heart,” she remarked, sharing that she often found herself questioning why she attracted the wrong types of partners.
When talking about her past relationships, she seemed nostalgic, having been married to Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006, and later to marketing executive Randy Bick in 2020 before filing for divorce in December 2023.
Recently, Griffin also made headlines for discussing her third facelift during a hospital stay. In a podcast, she candidly mentioned the high costs associated with cosmetic surgery and how her own procedure was surprisingly affordable. “I’m really rich, so I can’t bring myself to do that,” she joked, while reflecting on the prices others pay for similar procedures.
In a lighthearted moment, she remembered visiting a renowned plastic surgeon, sharing stories of extravagant treatments that many undergo, but ultimately embracing her own choices and experiences in both love and life.
