Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Confirm Their Relationship on Instagram
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are now Instagram official. The singer, known for her hit “Fireworks,” posted a series of personal photos and videos from their trip to Tokyo over the weekend, showcasing moments with the Canadian Prime Minister.
In one of the pictures, the pair is seen sharing a cheerful cheek-to-cheek selfie outdoors. They seem genuinely happy, which is nice to see.
Another photo captures them admiring what looks like an illuminated art piece at an exhibit. It’s kind of special how they can share these experiences together.
Perry also uploaded a delightful video of the two dining, where Trudeau is seen fondly watching her enjoy some sushi. She captioned her post, “Tokyo Times and more on tour ( ◠‿◠ ) 🎄🍣🐡🥞💐☃️♥️,” adding a playful spirit to the collection.
During their visit, the couple was spotted strolling hand-in-hand through Asakusa, a well-known tourist area in Tokyo, before heading out for dinner and a performance.
Three days into their trip, they joined former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife Yuko Kishida for a double date. The initial rumors about their romance started back in July when they were seen walking together in Montreal and enjoying a meal.
Not long after, Trudeau made an appearance at Perry’s “Life Times” concert in Montreal, where they seemed happy in each other’s company. Things took an interesting turn in October when they were spotted on a yacht near Santa Barbara, California—a more private moment that raised eyebrows.
Sources later shared that Trudeau is “obsessed” with Perry, describing how they connect over various topics like politics, family, and even French cuisine. Apparently, they see a spark in one another.
This new relationship comes soon after Perry’s breakup with Orlando Bloom, with whom she had been for a decade. They confirmed their split in July, sharing a daughter named Daisy Dove, who was born in August 2020.
On the other hand, Trudeau and his estranged wife Sophie announced their separation earlier this year, having three children together—Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrian. It seems both couples are navigating new chapters in their lives.
