Ever thought about what celebrities purchase during late-night online shopping? Well, here are six favorites from a few stars who share their must-haves in style and beauty.
Kelly Rutherford, known for her iconic fashion sense since her “Gossip Girl” days, has a clear preference for understated luxury—she often opts for her Hermes bag.
“There’s just so much information out there, and we’re always bombarded with sales,” she mentioned in an interview. “So I really appreciate simple fashion and uncomplicated skincare.” Recently, she partnered with a Belgian skincare brand called Biosil, which she’s quite fond of.
Rutherford’s former co-star Ed Westwick recently attended the brand’s 30th anniversary celebration with her. Interestingly, she has kept only a handful of items from her time on “Gossip Girl,” retaining a few special pieces, like Swarovski rings. She feels it’s too much like “wearing a character” to resell things from the show.
“I’ve always had a passion for fashion,” she states. “I believe it’s part of acting—you create a world through your wardrobe.”
If you’re looking to add a touch of Rutherford’s charm to your life, check out her six essential items, including classic cashmere and popular items from French pharmacies.
“I really love this Avène product,” she said. “I use it instead of sunscreen for a lighter touch over my foundation. It’s been a staple for years.”
She enjoys the convenience of capsules from Biosil, saying, “I appreciate how easy they are to use. They also have drops, which I love just as much.”
Rutherford highly recommends a particular fragrance—Veronic Gabai’s perfume. “It’s a beautiful scent, and the bottles are pure art. You can even get a necklace to hold a sample size of the scent, which I think is lovely,” she adds.
There’s also this book, “Wives Like Us” by Plum Sykes, that she raves about. “It’s an excellent read. I’ve really enjoyed her writing.”
And did she mention cashmere? Rutherford is a fan of a brand known as Soft Goat. “They produce beautiful cashmere pieces,” she shares.
Lastly, she admires Jenni Kayne’s work, claiming, “She does simple yet elegant designs incredibly well.” She appreciates the refined simplicity in Kayne’s products.
