Kentucky boy buys 70,000 Dum-Dum lollipops using his mom’s Amazon account.

A woman from Kentucky found herself in quite a predicament when a large stack of boxes filled with lollipops appeared at her front door. It turns out, her young son had placed a surprise order using her phone while he was playing.

Holly Lafavers mentioned she tried to prevent her 8-year-old son Liam from ordering around 70,000 dam dam lollipops before they arrived, but unfortunately, her efforts were in vain.

By the time the delivery happened, 22 cases had already been sent to her home.

“He said he wanted to have a carnival and ordered a dam dam as a prize for it,” Lafavers explained. “I must say, he was being really nice to his friends.”

However, things took a turn for the worse when she checked her bank account and found out she was charged about $4,000 for the lollipops.

“I honestly just fainted when I saw those numbers,” Lafavers recalled.

She later realized that eight more cases were not included in the original order and had to return them after a trip to the post office.

Though getting a refund took some time, she eventually managed to have the money returned.

“After a long day of working with the bank and speaking to a few news outlets, Amazon called and confirmed they’re refunding me,” she posted on social media.

Lafavers noted that they have since adjusted some settings on their phone to avoid any more unexpected deliveries in the future.
