Kentucky Woman Cooked Victim’s Remains in Oven, Body Suspected to Be Mom’s

A Kentucky woman has been arrested on suspicion of cooking her mother's dismembered body parts.

Trilena Mae Fields, 32, was taken into custody Wednesday from her Robertson County home after a man who worked at a nearby facility reported a body lying outside. reported.

Kentucky State Police responded to a call just after noon and found a woman's body in a backyard at Mount Olivet on Brierley Ridge Road, officials said. press release.

Witnesses said they believed the body was that of Trudy Fields, adding that the last time they saw her was on Tuesday, when she was with her daughter. His daughter claimed that he had tried to cast a spell on him and his colleague.

State police said, “Officers attempted to make contact with the woman inside the residence, but she did not respond,'' and proceeded to obtain a search warrant for the residence.

Fields was eventually removed from the home and arrested nearly 11 hours later and “charged with obstruction of government operations, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse,” according to a police update.

As a result of the search, body parts were found inside the oven, and WKYT emphasized that “the pot was still warm to the touch.''

Police said further charges may be filed following further investigation, but did not confirm whether the body was Trudy's.

“I actually can't imagine it ending like that,” Mount Olivet resident James McFarland told local media.

“For me, where is the mindset of a person at that time? Was she really mentally stable enough to know what she was doing?” he continued. He added that the presumed victim, Trudy Fields, was “the sweetest woman around.”

The younger Fields remains in the Bourbon County Detention Center and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
