Killer Kross faces his biggest challenge yet as he defends his world championship against Josh Bishop at a major pay-per-view event

Killer Kross will put his MLW World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Josh Bishop at Saturday Night SuperFight, with Bishop heading into the pay-per-view on a strong run.

The two will face off in a Last Man Standing match at Chicago’s Cicero Stadium. Bishop has a chance to take the title from Kross, who has held it since Battle Riot VIII.

Kross believes he can retain the championship, but expects the match to come down to toughness rather than wrestling skill. In a Last Man Standing bout, a competitor must leave his opponent unable to get to his feet within a 10-count.

Kross recently defended his title against Donovan Dijak on the go-home episode of “Fusion.” Bishop and Dijak’s partnership fell apart, and Bishop hit Dijak with an Exit 187, adding momentum to his title challenge.

Kross described 2026 as a painful but successful year. He said he was confident in what he could do, though opportunities to show it were never guaranteed. So far, he’s had plenty of chances, and said he’s enjoying himself.

Despite their rivalry, Kross praised Bishop’s development and said he has a bright future. He compared Bishop’s presence to Sid Justice and Sid Vicious, noting that wrestling could use more larger-than-life heavyweights among its mix of styles.

Saturday Night SuperFight takes place this weekend and will stream on Veeps at 8 p.m. ET.
