Kimberly Williams-Paisley Remembers Sweet Promise to Son

Kimberly Williams-Paisley recently took to Instagram to share a touching memory involving her son, William, affectionately known as “Huck.” This week, she reflected on a promise she made to him when he was just seven years old, regarding visiting him in college.

In her post, she included a photo of a charming note Huck had written. It featured his misspelled request: “Visit me at Kariji, Love Hack,” along with a plea for her to promise to visit, which he spelled as “prom.” Williams-Paisley responded to the note with, “I promise, I promise ❤️💪🏻😭.”

Huck is about to start his first year of college, and he’s one of two children that Williams-Paisley shares with her husband, country singer Brad Paisley. Their other child is named Jasper Warren.

Earlier this year, Williams-Paisley opened up about a vocal dysfunction that had left her unable to speak for two years. She described the experience as quite dramatic and embarrassing, recalling a moment before a speech when her voice unexpectedly disappeared. She explained that the silence stretched on for weeks, and when her voice finally returned, it had a very quiet, whispery quality.

The actress previously shared her journey with this issue through a series of hospital photos on Instagram, recounting the struggles she faced after undergoing a lengthy operation meant to help restore her voice. Williams-Paisley expressed her vulnerability in that moment, reflecting on how she once took the ability to speak for granted—how it affected her connections and self-expression. It was a challenging period, but she learned to appreciate the “strength and beauty of silence” and to better care for herself.
