King Charles III and Queen Camilla Wrap Up U.S. Visit

King Charles III and Queen Camilla marked the conclusion of their significant trip to the United States on Thursday. They took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier located at Arlington National Cemetery.

Earlier in the week, the couple arrived in Washington, D.C., kicking off King Charles’ first visit since ascending to the throne in 2022. On this final day, they attended a farewell event at the White House organized by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

Throughout their stay, the royal couple engaged in several ceremonies, including meetings with the president and first lady. Notably, King Charles addressed a joint session of Parliament, becoming the second British monarch to do so, which is quite a milestone considering the last was the late Queen Elizabeth II in 1991.

Additionally, on Wednesday, they paid a visit to the 9/11 memorial in New York City, making history as the first British monarchs to visit Ground Zero.

Following their tribute at Arlington Cemetery, the royal couple will participate in a parade and block party celebrating America’s 250th anniversary in Front Royal, Virginia.
