King Charles attends Easter church service in first major public appearance since cancer diagnosis

King Charles III led the royal Easter church service on Sunday, making his first public appearance since being diagnosed with cancer.

The 75-year-old British monarch, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, went to Windsor Castle with his wife Queen Camilla, 76, over the weekend.

The king is expected to break with tradition this year by not attending a reception or hosting a private family lunch after the church service, following doctors’ orders.

However, all of Charles’ siblings attended the ceremony, including Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, as well as Princess Anne and Prince Edward.
