Hunter Biden Comments on Charlie Kirk Assassination

In a recent interview, Hunter Biden shared his thoughts on the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, suggesting it primarily benefited Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) movement. This discussion took place during a November 6th appearance on the “Wide Awake” podcast hosted by Joshua Rubin.

During the podcast, Biden reflected on the motives behind Kirk’s assassination, which allegedly occurred on September 10th at the hands of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, the suspect. Rubin highlighted the unusual nature of Kirk’s assassination, noting, “I’ve never really seen a figure like Charlie Kirk be assassinated pretty much purely because of their beliefs.” This prompted Biden to speculate further about the murder’s underlying reasons.

Biden appeared uncertain about whether Kirk was indeed targeted for his beliefs, questioning if that narrative was something “spun by the right.” He also inquired about the alleged shooter’s affiliation, suggesting he might be linked to a group known as the “groypers,” which supports far-right figures like Nick Fuentes.

“Nick Fuentes believes, and the groypers believe, that basically, everything is a joke and that it should all be chaos,” Biden elaborated. He proposed that the chaos instilled by this ideology meant it didn’t matter who was targeted—whether a right-wing figure like Kirk or someone from the left could have fallen victim.

Interestingly, Biden sought to challenge the narrative that Kirk’s assassination was solely due to his beliefs. Instead, he implied that Kirk was shot simply because he was a prominent figure expressing his views.

Biden said, “I don’t know whether Charlie Kirk was shot because of what he believes or whether he was shot by a disaffected White male, an incel that had ready access to a high caliber rifle and… the capacity to be able to shoot a kill shot from over 200 yards.” His skepticism extended to the manner in which the suspect supposedly confessed over text messages to his partner.

Moreover, Biden emphasized that Kirk’s assassination has predominantly benefited one group: MAGA supporters. He noted, “They have taken this, they have wrapped themselves in it. They have righteous indignation.”

Despite Biden’s analysis, text messages between Robinson and his transgender partner, released by the FBI, offered a glimpse into the possible motivations. Robinson had expressed in messages that he was fed up with Kirk’s “hatred” and believed that some hate couldn’t be negotiated away.

This commentary raises further questions, not just about the incident itself, but also about the broader implications it may have on political dynamics and public discourse.
