Kristi Noem Reveals Impressive Count of Individuals Seeking ICE Positions in Just Two Weeks

ICE Sees Surge in Applications

On Wednesday, Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noem discussed the recent influx of job applications for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Fox News’ “Hannity.” According to her, around 110,000 people applied within just two weeks.

Back on August 6, Noem had mentioned during another Fox interview that ICE was lifting the age cap for executive applicants, aiming to fill its 10,000 positions. When Sean Hannity inquired about the latest numbers after reports indicated applications had surpassed the 100,000 mark, she revealed the current figure.

“Actually, as of today, we have around 110,000 applications within two weeks,” Noem stated. “That’s what I’m encouraging. It’s clear that Americans support President Trump and these officers. They want to be involved in ensuring safety in this country.”

Noem added, “The American people are very happy and excited by the fact that the rule of law applies to everyone, that those who follow the law are prioritized, and President Trump is doing just that.” She emphasized that a high number of applications allows them to hire qualified individuals quickly, aiding in restoring safety for families.

ICE noted that the expansion of its workforce was supported by funding from President Trump’s recent legislative efforts. This additional funding will provide potential agents with bonuses of up to $50,000, options for student loan repayment, and significant retirement benefits, as indicated by the Department of Homeland Security.
